A one-mile youth fun run for elementary-aged children. It’s the largest run of its kind in the nation!

All students who register after TBD will receive a shirt, but receive finisher medal/cup/snack after they run. These runners do need to pick up a packet—simply show up and run.

01 Start Times
The first heat will begin at 10 a.m. View the complete schedule to see when each grade is scheduled to run. View here! Runners may run in any heat.
02 Arrival Times
Please plan to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled run time.
03 Participation Packets
Packets include a Pumpkin Run shirt and runner letter with information and coupons from sponsors. We will have a Packet Pickup Day for outside of Lincoln and homeschool participants on TBD at the NSC Headquarters (7620 N 70th St. Lincoln). Please make arrangements to stop by and grab your packet before you run. There will not be any onsite Packet Pickup on the day of the run.
04 School Box Pickup
P.E teachers will have participant packets available for runners at their school, sometime TBD, provided the runner registers by 11:59 p.m. on TBD.
05 Parking
All families are encouraged to park for FREE in the Pinnacle Bank Arena Festival Lot, just north of the arena at 901 V. Street. From there, it is a short walk over the LINCOLN Bridge to the Start Line. Overflow parking will also be available in the Haymarket Park parking lots.
There will NOT be parking available in the Railyard Parking Garages, west of 7th Street, or in the John Breslow Ice Hockey Center parking lot at 433 V Street. Handicap parking will be available east of the Railyard in normal, designated spots.
06 Runner Recovery
The runner recovery area is for registered participants ONLY. Parents and siblings, to assure that supply does not run out before the final heats, please do not take items from the runner recovery station.
07 Weather
The Pumpkin Run will take place rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, heats may be delayed. There are no refunds due to inclement weather. If changes need to be made, announcements will be made on-site and may be posted here or on the Pumpkin Run Facebook page.
08 Refund Policy
There will be NO REFUNDS of entry fees or purchase of special event tickets because of weather, acts of nature, or communicable disease outbreak.
The only exceptions to the no-refund policy are:

Entries received after the entry deadline.

Entries of non-qualified entrants.

Entries of those denied participation due to errors made by the Pumpkin Run.

Special circumstances determined on an individual basis by the Board of Directors and requiring
board action.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE PERMITTED SIMPLY BECAUSE AN ATHLETE FAILS TO PARTICIPATE.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing for review by the President and Board of Directors. Please submit requests via email to info@nebraskasportscouncil.com.
